The Department of Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries, County Government of Meru, and the Meru Central Dairy Co-operative Union invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Design, Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning Of Grid-Tied Solar Power System And Chilling Accessories At Meru Central Dairy Co-Operative Union Ltd In Ntima East Ward, Imenti North Sub-County and six collection centres that includes majorly steel structure works, grid-tied solarization works and chilling equipment. . The Contract period will be 365 days.

Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” First Published July 2016 and Revised Fourth Edition November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the County Government of Meru website www.meru.go.ke and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 0800 to 1700 hours East African Time (EAT) at the address given below. The bidding document in English may be viewed, inspected and obtained free of charge by interested eligible Bidders from the County Government of Meru website www.meru.go.ke.Public procurement information portal www.tenders.go.ke or world bank website www.worldbank.org Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 03rd December 2026 at 1100 Hours EAT. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives at the address below on 03rd December 2026 at 1100 Hours EAT.

All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security.

The employer shall conduct a non-mandatory pre bid meeting on 17th November 2026 at 10.00 am at the Department of Agriculture, Livestock & fisheries Offices followed by a Pre-Tender Site Visit immediately after to Meru Dairy Union main factory and the six collection centers.

Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
