Tariffs and taxes
Reference exchange rates
The rates the duty and tax simulator applies when converting a value in foreign currency into CFA francs. Every rate carries the day it is quoted for and the source that publishes it.

Reference rates given for information. The rate used by customs and by your bank at the time of settlement may differ.
How these rates are established
-
01
The CFA franc is the currency of the Togolese customs tariff: the customs value is always expressed in CFA francs.
-
02
The parity of the CFA franc with the euro is fixed and set by a legal text: it is not read off a market.
-
03
For the other currencies, the rate is taken from the daily tables of the BCEAO, the central bank of the West African Monetary Union, which publishes them directly in CFA francs.
-
04
The naira and the cedi are not in those tables: they are taken from an interbank reference source and marked as indicative.
-
05
Rates are refreshed every day. If a source is momentarily unavailable, the last known rate stays in use and its date stays on display.
