How the calculation works

  1. 01

The customs value is the CIF value: goods, freight and insurance up to Lomé, converted into FCFA.

  2. 02

The customs duty follows the ECOWAS CET category of the tariff line (0, 5, 10, 20 or 35%).

  3. 03

Fees and levies apply to the customs value, unless exempt because of a community origin.

  4. 04

VAT at 18% applies to the customs value plus the duties and taxes collected at entry, unless the product is exempt.
