The East African Business Council (EABC), in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB), has trained 60 enterprises in the textile, edible oil and leather sectors to prepare them to export under the African Continental Free Trade Area regime.

As part of its project with the African Development Bank, the East African Business Council organised training for 60 small and medium enterprises in the textile, edible oil and leather sectors, including in South Sudan, to prepare them to access the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) market.

The initiative forms part of EABC's wider efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of East African SMEs and their ability to meet the rules of origin and export procedures required to benefit from AfCFTA's preferential regime.
