Agreement signed in March 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda, creating the African Continental Free Trade Area, which ultimately aims for the free movement of goods and services among signatory African countries, including the EAC's eight member states. Practical implementation (rules of origin, tariff concession schedules) continues to roll out progressively, country by country.
